Decadent Chocolate Kale Spirulina Brownies with Orange Icing

♦ 1 1/2 cup almonds, Soaked overnight and
dehydrated @ 115°
♦ 20 medjool dates, pitted
♦ ½ cup raw cacao powder
♦ 1 1/2 cups of kale, shredded
♦ 1 tsp Spirulina
♦ 3 T raw agave nectar (or add additional dates or date paste as needed)
♦ ¼ cup hazelnuts, soaked overnight and
dehydrated @ 115°, chopped
♦ 1 tsp vanilla extract
♦ ¼ tsp almond extract
♦ 1/8 tsp Himalayan sea salt
♦ 2-3 drops orange essential oil*

♦ 1 cup cashews
♦ ¼ cup agave nectar (or add additional orange juice for sweetener or date paste)
♦ 3 T orange juice
♦ 4-6 drops orange essential oil
♦ 1 tsp vanilla extract
♦ ¼ cup water
♦ 2 T coconut crème
♦ 1/8 tsp Himalayan sea salt
♦ Zest of one orange

Instructions: Place all brownie ingredients except for the hazelnuts into a food processor
fitted with an S blade. Process mixture till it becomes fudge-like, then add in the semi-crushed
hazelnuts and pulse into mixture leaving small chunks. Remove mixture from food
processor and spread evenly into a small cake pan. Place all ingredients for the icing
except for half of the orange zest into a high-powered blender and blend until smooth and
creamy. Remove icing from blender and spread evenly over the brownie. Sprinkle the
remainder of the orange zest on top for garnish. Place in the refrigerator to firm up for
about an hour and then cut and serve. Variation- creates fudge balls and cover in
shredded coconut. Shhh.You don’t have to tell anyone there are greens in there! Enjoy!
